 Working with hoiszn

  • Our quarterly magazines mean quarterly opportunities to be featured. We announce the new theme of the upcoming magazine with an open invitation for creatives to submit their work. The application period remains open for 3 weeks before we evaluate each submission and decide which pieces will feature in the upcoming issue.

  • We’re open to most opportunities so let’s hear what you got!

    Whether you have a project, film, event, market, or gallery that you’d like to get in touch about, let’s chat at hello@hoiszn.com and we’ll see where it takes us.

  • Written pieces

    • 800–1000 words is the ideal length

    • We are happy to consider all types of written pieces, including but not limited to: articles, short stories, poems, essays.

    Visual art

    • If your application is successful, you will need to submit high quality (minimum 300dpi for print) images.

    • We are happy to consider all types of visual art, including but not limited to: illustration, paintings, sculptures, installations, animations, film, graphic design, fashion, mixed media.

    • If your artwork is moving image or a physical object, please submit stills or photographs of your work for print publication purposes.

  • We are open to applications from all creatives who identify with the term ‘Asian-Australian’. We would like to strongly encourage South Asian and mixed-race Asian creatives to apply as we want to ensure those voices and perspectives are included in our spaces.

    HOISZN aims to predominantly spotlight talent from the Asian-Australian community and POC kinfolk. We will not run background checks on anybody’s ethnicity.

  • Yes you can, as long as you have the rights for your work to be published again with HOISZN.

  • That’s okay! Good things take time.

    If you have a piece that you want to submit but won’t be able to complete in time for the deadline, you can submit a sketch or proof of concept and describe how the final outcome should look and when it will be completed.

  • Please allow 1–2 days for order processing. Expected shipping time (once processed) varies by state.

  • We currently do not have a brick and mortar location but we often do pop up stalls at markets around Naarm.

  • If your order has not rocked up within the expected delivery timeframe, send us an email at hello@hoiszn.com and we’ll follow up on it :)

 Stockists

  • Yes! We’re all about spreading the HOISZN love across Australia and beyond. We want HOISZN to be available far and wide, at places big and small. Get in touch and we can sort something out!

  • We offer our products at a wholesale price for stockists so that you can proudly sell HOISZN stock AND make it worth your time, space, and effort.

 Returns & Exchanges

  • Unfortunately we don’t offer returns or exchanges for change of mind.

    We’re a small team, and every order is packed with care — we hope you love it as much as we do 💛 but hit us up if you’ve got a special case and we’ll see what we can do 👀

  • If your order shows up looking like it lost a fight with the postman, flick us an email at hello@hoiszn.com with photos and we’ll sort it out ASAP — pinky promise 🤞

  • Only if your item arrives damaged or something went wrong with your order. Otherwise, all sales are final — thank you for understanding and supporting indie publishing 💌

  • You can modify your order or request a cancelation at anytime until your order is shipped. Please email us at hello@hoiszn.com ASAP so we can sort it out before it’s too late!

    Orders cannot be modified or cancelled after a shipped/dispatched confirmation email has been sent.

    If your order has been cancelled, funds may take up to 7 business days to appear in your account.
