The seventh issue of HOISZN is going to celebrate experimentation in all its beautiful, disobedient forms. We want to see how you explore, play, and test limits. We want rule-breakers, curious tinkerers, and what-if makers who dive headfirst into creative chaos. This issue is perfect for you if your work is experimental in nature or shows evidence of experimentation in your practice.

The brief

  • Applications are open to all creative mediums, including film, music, poetry and writing.

  • This edition of HOISZN will maintain a strong focus on visual art with select opportunities for written contributions.

  • Your work is experimental in nature or shows evidence of experimentation in your practice.

  • Aim to be innovative, evocative, new, unique, strange, quirky, charming, nonsensical and unafraid to fail.
